Consent to Register: Courses with Time Conflicts

What must be done to successfully register for a course with a time conflict with another course?

Students must first meet with their professor to discuss whether missing a portion of the class is appropriate for the course and determine a suitable solution to the time conflict. This may involve leaving the class early or entering the class late. Once agreed upon, the student must complete the Consent to Register: Courses with Time Conflicts form prior to the start of the term the course is being taken.

The form will ask for a description/explanation of the time conflict and how the time conflict will be resolved, as well as approval from the instructor and the instructor of the other course involved in the conflict.

Once the form is approved by both instructors, the Office of Registration and Records will review the request and determine if the solution is suitable and complies with academic policies. Once the form is approved, the Office of Registration and Records shall complete the process by registering the student.
